Homebrew Competition

Many thanks to everyone that helped make last weekend's homebrew competition a tremendous success! CFB volunteers, the homebrewers, and WHQR all worked together to pull off a well orchestrated event that generated much needed money for our production facility in Winnabow.

For those of you who missed it, we had a sellout crowd that came to sample over 2 dozen craft brewed ales and lagers. The Casserole put on a helluva show, performing great originals and a wide range of reggae, bluegrass, and rock covers. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/casseroleband

Listed below are the evening's top three.

1st Prize - "Under the Kilt" Scottish Ale (Jason Salemme, Hillsborough, NC)

2nd Prize - "Donner Party Pale Ale" American Pale Ale (World History Brewers, Wilmington, NC)

3rd Prize - "Slusser Swerve Sauce" Cream Ale (Thomas Slusser, Raleigh, NC)
